Triumph Church 08:45AM EST service: "I Only Need A Glimpse"

• All you see is not all you can see.

  • God can show you there is more life to be lived. You have the right to know. — God is your friend.

• Nothing wrong with pursuing money, just how you go about it.

• Exodus 33:12-23

  • Always seek God's presence everywhere you go and in everything you do. (Exodus 33:15)

    • Evidence that God is with you is when you are going thru trials like everyone else but it doesn't affect you the same way.

• Glory=essence=weight=all that makes God what He is

• When you're getting to know God, you have to ask for everything. When you are close to God, there are many things you don't even have to ask for because He just will give them to you— "you're part of the family."

  • Just being able to get up this morning in your right mind is a glimpse of His glory.

Community of Christ meeting — 11:05AM Service

• "Speak words that edify in the moment." — Use upright words.

  • If I'm not blessing someone, I'm not availing myself to receive a blessing.

  • "Speak with grace for those that might hear you."

  • You can do all things through Christ which strengthens you.

• Patriarchal Blessing --> Evangelist Blessing

  • God loves all those who learn.

  • Don't allow any person to separate you from the love of God and your spiritual light.

  • Never feel that you are beyond the love and concern of God. There is nowhere you go that God is not there with you.

• Have the right tools for your blessing project. You can do all things through Christ.

  • Be consistent. Stay the course. You cannot afford to quit. Take action.

  • Be a blessing to others.

Mile Hi Church service — 12:05 PM — "Abundant Generosity: Finding our Way into Giving"

• We move and breathe and have our being in Abundance because God IS Abundance.

  • "Stop denying the nature of the Universe."

• What is real wealth?

1. Peace of mind to be satisfied with my life as it is

2. appreciating life as it is happening — appreciating the present moment

   1. "Who thinks for little, doesn't think for much."

3. generosity: giving from what you've been blessed with

   1. giving time

   2. Eric Butterworth: "If you're feeling broke, the best thing is to give." Get yourself back in the flow of giving and receiving. Circulate good.

   3. Real poverty is devaluing who you are. — [very true honestly for the African diaspora]

• Generosity puts us in receivership. Generosity is the true nature of what we are and activates the Law of Attraction for goodness in our lives.

• Give to those places that you see are operating in the giving flow of God.

• We have to change our consciousness about money. — It's not about how much we give but how we give.

  • We have to be more open about how we talk about money.

  • We reside in the Kingdom of Heaven. All that God has we are entitled to as His Children. Surrender to the opportunity to embrace generosity.

LA LDS Church Service — 10:30 AM PST service

• "If only the will to walk is there, God is pleased even when we stumble."

• If we believe in the Atonement of Christ, we can believe that "our sins don't have to define us — they can refine us."

  • It's impossible to learn to play an instrument without making any wrong notes.

  • We are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. — We have a Spiritual lineage of Heavenly Parents, so we must seek the best within us, within our spiritual DNA.

  • "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."

• It was always a plan for us to stumble and to sin.

• Sing the "song of redeeming love". — Alma, Book of Mormon

• D&C 46: 7-33

  • Ask of God liberally — prayer and thanksgiving continually.

    • Seek ye not to be deceived.

  • Every man is given gifts from God, at least one. But every man doesn't have every gift.

    • We have to work to develop our gifts in order to access them. And we have to seek guidance on how to access them. God enlarges us if we have the desire.

    • List of Gifts: (1) gift of belief, (2) gift of revelation, (3) gift of administrative understanding, diversities of operations, (4) gift of wisdom, (5) gift of knowledge, (6) gift of prophecy, (7) gift of healing, (8) gift of faith, (9) gift of tongues, (10) gift of interpretation of tongues, (11) gift of discernment — probably many more!

• What is the purpose of spiritual gifts?

  • "For the benefit of the children of God" [D&C 46:26] — so we can all profit + grow and have a thriving community from sharing our gifts

• When we receive gifts, we should thank God. Do all things with prayer and thanksgiving.

  • Giving thanks keeps us remembering that all we have comes from God — it keeps us humble. It helps us to be close to God by continually reminding us of His Hand in our lives, that we have to remember to keep inviting HIm in our lives.

• No one spiritual gift is better than the other.

• Spiritual gifts are open to all people.

• If you don't have the love of charity, you are missing the greatest spiritual gift. Ask God to help you as you continually work on developing that gift.
