Hi! I'm Veronica. I'm eighteen years old. I created this website in late June of 2018. I am an upcoming college student seeking to ultimately pursue interdisciplinary studies focused on the fields of Computational Neuroscience and Music.
First off...I want you to know that this blog is not all about just becoming a better student. Rather, this blog is about growing to become an all-around better person by seeking to grow oneself in better disciplines. I just happen to believe that growing oneself as a student opens up the avenue to growing oneself in anything you desire. This is because no matter where you are in life, you will always start at ground-zero — essentially, you will always start as a student. If you are a super-student, you will easily become super in whatever you put your mind to!
I myself am striving to become a super student. To do this, I decided that I would "shape up and ship out": I am trying to shape my ways of thinking and action into positivism and productivity and then delivering what I have learned to you guys.
First off, for those of you who are spiritual like me, I have tons of notes (kind of like journals to myself) where I talk about likening "the scriptures unto [myself]." Hopefully at least one of you guys out there will see yourselves in me. I am a big advocate in having a relationship with God (if you are spiritual) to further advance one's academic, personal, and mental health success.
Although it helped me maintain Also, I started learning really late that learning just for the grade and just reading your notes the night before the test doesn't always work. my over 4.0 GPA for a while, it did not help me junior year when I decided to take 4 AP's . I had no proper study skill methods developed! This blog also shows how I am seeking to increase my organization skills — very critical to becoming a better student.
I was inspired by YouTubers such as "Study with Jess" who makes videos to help high schoolers. I decided I would do the same thing but with a current high schooler's perspective. In a sense, this is my personal "survival guide" that I'm sharing with you guys.
